Thandiwe Shiphrah

Thandiwe Shiphrah is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the musical properties of language, the poetics of music, and creative avenues for telling untold stories. Her practice includes solo and ensemble performance, visual collage, and audio collage. Thandiwe is the creator of the Line Breaks Literary Reading Series, one of Nashville's longest running literary arts programs (now part of the Global Education Center). She has a long-standing interest in poetry-inspired creativity and applies the art form in a variety of community-based programs and events for adults and youth.
