Holiday Altered Paper and Collage

Come explore the realm of altered paper and collage to make Mini Paintings and Holiday Gifts! Multi-media artist and painter Lisa Binder will teach participants how to create and use amazing altered and collage papers for mixed media artwork and mini-paintings, personal gifts, and cards. Learn the alcohol process for creating background dimension as well as how to attach your mini artworks to weathered board, wooden boxes, books, etc. Discover new uses for water-based Minwax as a finishing or layering tool. Celebrate the accidents and dance in the unexpected results. This is a day designed to delight in art, heart, and the holiday spirit - come join the fun!
Acrylic paint; Soft and/or Regular Medium Gel in gloss or semi gloss; small canvases or canvas boards (12 inch or smaller); brushes; 90% Alcohol; and Minwax (blue can, water based) for finishing or between layers.
For those who want to learn how to make altered papers, please bring Citrasolve; Never Dull; Sandpaper; and old National Geographic magazines, preferably those from the 1980s or 1990s.
Also feel free to bring your own altered and collage papers from home; old boards and books, wooden boxes, unfinished bird houses, etc. Any interesting surfaces will do!
Lisa will have extra materials available for an additional fee payable directly to her.

Cancellation policy: you may request a refund (minus any PayPal fees and a $10 cancellation fee) up to seven (7) days prior to the scheduled date of the class or workshop. No refund is available after that date. Refunds are also unavailable if you do not show up or if you leave an event early for any reason.
