Pigmented Paper Creations
taught by Lisa Jennings
This workshop offers the opportunity to discover the enjoyment of creating your own multiple sheets of pigmented papers for use in collage pieces or as their own works of art. Lisa will share the techniques she uses to make papers for her own artwork demonstrating three ways to create pigmented papers using mulberry paper made from a very durable fiber. The techniques include Mono Printing using old glazed butcher block cutting boards, Geli Plate printing, and Batik resist to create one, or multiple, layers of color. We’ll explore the intricacies of using wax with multiple designs, layers of color, and printing with wood blocks. Disclaimer: Paper pigmenting can be addictive!
