SoulCollage® is an expressive collage art practice using images and glue that are transformed into your own deck of 5”x8” cards infused with personal meaning that can help you navigate life’s questions. Join trained SoulCollage® Facilitators Lesley Patterson-Marx and Lee LaChance in an introduction to this playful, creative process that is both powerful and a lot of fun. You don’t have to be an artist to make these wonderful cards that have the potential to connect you to self-discovery and provide personal guidance. SoulCollage®, founded by therapist Seena B. Frost, is a practice that can be done individually or in community. In addition to making several cards, in this workshop, you will learn to do your own readings along with techniques for using your cards as journaling and writing prompts. You will have the opportunity to “speak” from your cards, sharing their meaning with fellow workshop participants in a nurturing, supportive environment. All you need is a good pair of scissors, pre-cut mat board cards, images, and a willingness to have fun! Participants should bring a sack and water bottle, journal or notebook, and wear clothes for movement and mess-making. Skill Level: all levels Pre-requisites: none Materials provided: pre-cut cards, high quality glue sticks, magazines, Nori glue, glue brushes, decorative papers Materials Students will be required to gather/bring for themselves: good scissors or #11 x-acto knife with extra blades, self healing cutting mat (optional and only needed if you are using an x-acto knife) *** Fee: $165 (Members 15% discount with coupon code at checkout) Art & Soul classes are for ages 17 and up.
