Service Description

Creative Arts Discovery & Practice (CADP) “It is through Play that we get down to the work.” -- Arunima Orr Are you looking for a way to kick-start or sustain your creative life? Are you seeking a supportive, creative community? Want to kindle a sense of playfulness and joy? This six-week course engages the whole self through a mix of tried-and-true intuitive exercises developed by Art & Soul founder Arunima Orr. Whether a first-timer, a seasoned creator, or a shy seeker, these practices will ground you in authentic artmaking within a supportive circle. Your experienced CADP teacher will create a safe space and guide practices in play, movement, sounding, and breathing to help bypass the conditioned mind, allowing you to drop into deeper self-knowledge and connectedness. Through experimentation and exploration, you will be led to uncover, or rediscover, your intuition, artistic urges, and innate mark-making. Art & Soul was founded on core beliefs that value process over product, cultivate a judgement-free environment, and nurture an individual’s unique and authentic creativity. You are welcome and encouraged to take CADP repeatedly and make this experience your art support community. Each session will reground you in this philosophy and unique mix of creative rituals for living an expressive life! Note: CADP is offered throughout the year, in both day and evening formats, and completion is required for Art & Soul Membership, as well as a prerequisite for Wide Circle Weekend and/or Sustaining Artistic Awakening classes. CADP is also the first entry point for those interested in potentially becoming a facilitator at Art & Soul. *** Fee: $245 (Members 15% discount with coupon code at checkout) Skill Level: any Pre-requisites: none Your class fee covers all 6 weeks.
