The Exploding Picture Box is a three-dimensional “book” structure made of paper that, at first glance, looks like a square box with a lid. When the lid is lifted, the square unfolds into a delightful form with multiple layers. As you learn to make “The Exploding Picture Box,” you will have the opportunity to use a variety of creative mediums to embellish the “pages.” You’ll be able to incorporate demonstrated techniques, including mixed media collage, photographs, cut paper designs, and more! A variety of fun paper and collage materials will be provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own special photos and other paper items to use as well. Watch your creativity explode as you explore the possibilities of this versatile book form! *** Fee: $140 (Members 15% discount with coupon code at checkout) Skill Level: any Pre-requisites: none Materials to gather/bring for yourself: #11 Xacto knife, extra blades, a good pair of scissors, optional: additional collage materials or personal memorabilia. Art & Soul classes are for individuals aged 17 and above. Masks are not required in the studio, but you are welcome to wear one if you prefer.
