Karyn Henley

Karyn Henley has been drawing for as long as she can remember. In college art classes, she discovered her love of portraiture and figure drawing and enjoys working in both pencil and pastel. In addition, she is an editor, a trained book coach, and an award-winning author with an MFA in writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts. She has published books and songs for both children and adults and has worked with agents and editors in an ever-changing publishing landscape, illustrating some of her own books. Art & Soul has allowed her to experience the way all the arts intertwine, emerging from the soul and, in turn, nourishing the soul. Currently Karyn serves on the board of Art & Soul. She believes that creating art is open to us all, a way to explore, inspire, and bring meaning to ourselves and the world.
